Okay so. I've been poking around DoA, and I finally found an owner picture of Migidoll Ryeong, the doll who was supposed to be Ryder. Well, let's just say that won't be happening. After seeing the sculpt, I'm not so sure about it. I mean yeah, I like it and all, but it wasn't what I was expecting. So I'm rather glad that I didn't buy it when I had the chance. Plus, after doing some window shopping, I found a doll who I instantly fell in love with and appears to be the perfect sculpt to be Ryder. See, Ryeong took a bit of growing on me, and I was being wishy washy between him and Cho for the longest time. Then all the sudden this doll from a different company shows up on the DoA forums, and I checked out their site and stuff. Well, it turns out that this doll right here is the one who caught my attention and instantly made me fall in love with him. Seriously, his expression is perfect. He looks arrogant, sarcastic, but with a hint of sweetness to him, which is exactly what I've been looking for...the only problem is...

But! Thanks to a possible financial thingie my family is doing, I might be able to get him for as an early birthday/Christmas present according to my dad! So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. XD Of course, I'll be paying for all the extra things, like his wig, clothes, face up, and all of that fun stuff that makes the doll unique.
I just hope everything works out. D:
Oh, and expect more Kadin spam soon. I feel bad because he's hardly been out of his box since I got sick, so I need to spend some time taking photos of him. o.o

Personality: Kadin seems to have two personalities that he likes to keep separated as much as possible. On the outside, he's hyper, outgoing, stubborn, and just a generally happy-go-lucky guy without a care in the world. However, once you get past that facade he puts up, you'll see that he's not what he seems to be. Underneath the act of confidence he puts up, he is self-hating, anxious, and a bit of an emotional roller coaster. He is prone to mood swings, and is easily upset. While there are moments when he's truly happy, they are far and between. Until those times become more frequent, he'll go on living behind his wall of false confidence.

History
Kadin and his twin sister, Imogen, were born in France. Unfortunately, their mother died soon after giving birth to them. Their father was overcome by grief, which turned into bitterness and resentment towards his two new children. He'd often neglect them as he couldn't be bothered to have anything to do with them. Due to their father's lack of care and affection, Kadin and Imogen began to rely on each other for support.
When the twins were around the age of 14, Imogen began to drift away from her brother due to her own issues. This left Kadin feeling extremely insecure, depressed, and anxious. Due to that, he began looking for passive aggressive ways to get attention, most notably, his hunger strikes which later developed into full blown anorexia. Later on, at age fifteen, he entered his first relationship with one of his classmates. He was exceedingly clingy, which often drove his boyfriend crazy. Then whenever his boyfriend or himself made plans to get together, Kadin would conveniently "forget" about them, then blame it on Imogen. Or the opposite would happen. Eventually, his boyfriend couldn't deal with Kadin's passive-aggressive behaviors any longer and broke up with him five months into the relationship. This once again left Kadin feeling neglected and fueled yet another hunger strike.
At age 16, his life took a drastic turn, for better or for worse. Over the years, their father became more and more resentful towards them as he was unable to deal with his own depression, anger, and grief. Then one day, he snapped. He walked into their bedroom late one night with a gun to his head. Their father basically told them that this was their fault and they only have themselves to blame before pulling the trigger. The two of them haven't been the same since.
A few months later, after living with various people, they moved to a city in America to live with a family friend of their mother. Through their mother's friend, Kadin discovered modelling and immediately felt a passion for it. He has been doing modelling work since then.

Here, let me tell you a bit about my BJD life.
I currently own one BJD. His name is Kadin, and he's a Leekeworld Luke. Kadin and I have been buddies since day one. However, he wasn't the shy boy I envisioned him to be when he got here. Instead, Kadin turned out to be stubborn, outgoing, and is an emotional roller coaster. Why, the first time I was dressing him he attempted to kick me in the face. But behind those stubborn smirks and outlandish behaviors, he's really not as happy and confident as he appears to be. He hides his feelings well, and will rarely, if ever, let down his wall.
Currently I have plans to buy four more dolls. I plan to buy in this order:
A Migidoll Ryeong (To be Ryder, Kadin's boyfriend)
DreamingDoll Mae (To be Imogen, Kadin's twin sister)
Some unknown male doll to be Imogen's boyfriend.
